Smallsupplier provides electronic invoicing facilities to those suppliers who lack the capability to do this for themselves; but we are not a software house. We also receive moneys on their behalf in accordance with the contractual terms and conditions that have been negotiated between themselves and their customer. These services cost the customer nothing!
The key benefits and considerations for the larger organisations are that this service can remove a tremendous volume of paper and administrative effort from the Bought / Purchase Ledger in-house operation . Invoice and delivery information for agreed suppliers will be provided through an EDI standard invoice message interface to a specified accounting computer address. All suppliers would operate under the smallsupplier.com header for statement and payment purposes. One payment would be made to smallsupplier.com and supplier payments would be made by us in accordance with their negotiated terms and conditions.
Note from this website that we already perform this service for a number of clients in the retail industry, but our process is not specific to that sector. It can be applied wherever an invoice is generated by a supplier for the sale of goods or services provided. Moreover, we are a place where small, but effective suppliers can be found and therefore customers can make better informed strategic and ethical decisions on purchases from their smaller suppliers.
